Indian Valley is 0-4 against John Glenn since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Indian Valley Braves will be home for the holidays to greet the John Glenn Little Muskies at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Indian Valley has not done well against Garaway recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Indian Valley walked away with a 52-44 victory over Garaway. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Indian Valley has scored all year.
Meanwhile, John Glenn scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Philo for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-43 victory on the road. That 70-43 margin sets a new team best for John Glenn this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John Glenn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Larrick, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Larrick has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stehl Bates, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Indian Valley and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for John Glenn, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Indian Valley ended up a good deal behind John Glenn when the teams last played back in January, losing 67-53. Thankfully for Indian Valley, Nathan Walker (who scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
