Softball Recap: Dodson Has No Trouble Against Ringgold

Dodson won the last time they faced Ringgold and things went their way on Monday too. The Dodson Panthers put the hurt on the Ringgold Redskins with a sharp 14-4 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Alora Marker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed over her last five matches. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, Zoey Goss was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Underwood, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Dodson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Dodson's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Ringgold, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Dodson has already played their next game, a 14-4 win against Ringgold on the 10th. As for Ringgold, they will welcome Haynesville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
