After a string of six wins, the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 66-41 loss at the hands of Moses Brown. Mount St. Charles Academy has struggled against the Quakers recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Mount St. Charles Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mariia Solovian. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with four blocks and two steals. Emma Roberts was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds.
Lauren Bousquet was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds for Moses Brown. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bousquet has scored at least a third of Moses Brown's points. Another player making a difference was Jaelynn Perez, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mount St. Charles Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4. As for Moses Brown, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.
