Even though the Cuthbertson Cavaliers scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Sun Valley Spartans still came out on top. Sun Valley secured a 60-56 W over the Cavaliers. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sun Valley.
It was another big night for Nathan Tavares, who scored 26 points along with seven assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleel Benjamin, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Sun Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Cuthbertson, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Sun Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cuthbertson is on the road again on Friday and plays the Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Marvin Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cavaliers in North Carolina (the Mavericks are ranked 112th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 431st).
