The Y Yuma will be home for the holidays to greet the Eaglecrest Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Y put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Limon 61-33 at home. Y's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Y's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Rayl, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Carolina Ross, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Eaglecrest entered their tilt with Brighton with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Eaglecrest breezed by Brighton at home to the tune of 80-13. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Eaglecrest has managed all season.
Y pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Eaglecrest, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
