The East Dubuque Warriors lost against the Orangeville Broncos back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. East Dubuque took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orangeville. East Dubuque has struggled against Orangeville recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Orangeville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nadalee Doyle led the charge by scoring 16 points along with eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitney Sullivan, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds.
East Dubuque has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Orangeville, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
East Dubuque will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Argyle at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. One thing working in Argyle's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. Orangeville and Proviso West will round out the year against one another at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at. Proviso West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Orangeville is ranked 36th).
