After a string of three wins, KIPP Denver Collegiate's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Platte Canyon by a score of 40-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for KIPP Denver Collegiate in their matchups with Platte Canyon: they've now lost five in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Adel Adam, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ronaldo Sandoval, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 20-20 at halftime, Middle Park was not quite Vail Mountain's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Middle Park fell just short of Vail Mountain by a score of 44-41. It was the first time this season that Middle Park let down their fans at home.
KIPP Denver Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Middle Park, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.
KIPP Denver Collegiate was dealt a bruising 70-23 defeat at the hands of Middle Park when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for KIPP Denver Collegiate, Corbin Solomon (who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
