The Sto-Rox Vikings lost against the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Sto-Rox fell to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 57-52.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robert Sykes Jr, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Aumir Nelson, who scored ten points.
Sto-Rox bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sto-Rox's road trip will continue as they head out to face South Park at 7:15 p.m. on January 12th. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they will challenge Steel Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Steel Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
