Barry Western is 2-7 against Camp Point Central since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wildcats will head out to square off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Barry Western will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Brown County, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Wildcats blew past the Hornets 16-1 on Tuesday. Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Camp Point Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Lauren Miller was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. In other batting news, Camp Point Central let Karly Peters and Anna Peters run wild. Karly went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Anna went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave Anna a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Huston, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Camp Point Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Prairie only managed six hits.
