The Bogue Chitto Bobcats will take on the Enterprise Yellowjackets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Bogue Chitto's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
On Friday, Bogue Chitto made easy work of Amite County and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won seven games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Warren Wallace was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Wallace was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That run marked the first that he scored this season.

In other batting news, Noah Magee was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Jayden Poole also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Bogue Chitto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Lumberton typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Enterprise proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.
Haygan Floyd made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Floyd was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. He has become a key player for Enterprise: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, Kelly Burgess and Prewitt Falvey did most of the damage at the plate: Burgess scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Falvey scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jiles Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Bogue Chitto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Enterprise, their record now sits at 14-10.
Enterprise's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bogue Chitto hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. It's a different story for Enterprise, though, as they've only averaged .252. Will they be able to contain Bogue Chitto's hitters?
Bogue Chitto came up short against Enterprise in their previous matchup back in March, falling 9-6. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
