Sumter extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 5-1. They took down the Lugoff-Elgin Demons 57-42. The Gamecocks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Demons, too.

Several Demons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eric Richardson, who picked up 147 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 105 yards and one TD on only ten carries. Richardson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making one tackle (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Another receiver making a difference was Shamil Saadiq, who picked up 206 receiving yards and three scores.
