Marshall found their leader in underclassman Jason Vidaurri, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Aric Goodman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Marshall's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Marshall is on the road again on Saturday and play against Sam Houston at 10:00 a.m. on December 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Sam Houston is ranked 893rd, while Marshall is ranked 896th). As for Southside, they will face off against Steele at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Steele will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
