After a string of 17 wins, the Mission Hills Grizzlies's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 62-48 bruising from San Marcos. Mission Hills was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as San Marcos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
San Marcos' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jalen Williams led the charge by scoring 20 points along with seven steals. Another player making a difference was Mazen El Bissat, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Mission Hills' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7. As for San Marcos, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Mission Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. San Marcos also has no future games currently scheduled.
