The Decatur Eagles entered their tilt with the Krum Bobcats with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Decatur secured a 45-40 W over the Bobcats on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Decatur also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Decatur found their leader in underclassman Hope Escobar, who scored eight points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Bralyn Peck, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Decatur has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. As for Krum, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-7.
Decatur will take on the Bullfrogs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Worth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1044th, while the Eagles are ranked 58th). As for Krum, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulls at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridgeport is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
