South Dade was the  49-7 winner over Killian when they last played one another  back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Buccaneers came up short against  the Cougars on Friday, falling  34-10. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Killian's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Kymani Corbett, who threw for 271 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt. What's more,  Corbett racked up 127.3  passer rating, the most he's  had since back in August of 2024.  Willie Scott did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 110  receiving yards.
South Dade's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Killian, the  victory was  the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
 South Dade will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Columbus at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 25th. The  game will  give the Buccaneers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Killian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  match,  a  42-21  loss against Palmetto on the 18th.
