The Northwest Christian School Crusaders and the Okanogan Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Northwest Christian School Crusaders had to settle for second. Their rough 21-0 defeat to the Bulldogs might stick with them for a while. Northwest Christian School's defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak dating back to last season.
Titus Spuler threw for 83 yards on four of 14 attempts. Ryan Waters was his top target, picking up 77 receiving yards.
Okanogan can attribute much of their success to David Huffstetler, who rushed for 184 yards and a touchdown. Huffstetler hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Grooms, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Northwest Christian School's loss dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Okanogan, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record.
Northwest Christian School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Okanogan will square off against Napavine at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Napavine: 13.2, Okanogan: 4.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
