The Rock Falls Rockets fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They breezed by North Boone at home to the tune of 52-22 on Wednesday. With Rock Falls ahead 39-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Rock Falls was led to victory by Elizabeth Lombardo and Claire Bickett. Lombardo scored 12 points along with four steals, while Bickett dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolette Udell, who scored 11 points.
Rock Falls has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-21 record this season. As for North Boone, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-22.
Rock Falls will head out on the road to take on Bureau Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Bureau Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. North Boone does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
