Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reyes Espinoza, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five steals. Espinoza is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Eli Tate was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Dell City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Balmorhea, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
