St. Paul Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cynara Easley, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kyla Parker, who scored eight points.
St. Paul Central bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ellsworth, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Humboldt at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. As for Ellsworth, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Prescott at 7:00 p.m.
