The Carvers Bay Bears had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.5 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They managed a 38-33 victory over East Clarendon. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Carvers Bay also won the last time the pair played last Wednesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carvers Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alana Morris, who scored nine points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Jasmyn Jenkins, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kierstin Woods, who scored ten points. Hayden White was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
East Clarendon struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Carvers Bay racked up 12 assists.
Carvers Bay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for East Clarendon, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-5.
Carvers Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Clarendon, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-38 win vs. Scott's Branch on the 9th.
