Continental has struggled against Miller City recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Continental saw an underclassman step up: Olivia Crossgrove scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks. Crossgrove is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Continental's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Miller City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Continental will challenge Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Northwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Miller City, they will head out on the road to face off against Tinora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tinora will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
