After only two points in their last match, The St. Joseph Central Irish made sure to put some points up on the board against the Hannan Wildcats on Friday. St. Joseph Central really took it to Hannan for the full four quarters, racking up a 81-6 victory on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 62-6.
St. Joseph Central can attribute much of their success to Colin Woelfel, who rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Woelfel's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Micaiah Ehirim got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was St. Joseph Central's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Hannan's QB won't forget Nymir Bryant anytime soon given Bryant sacked him four times.
The win was the third in a row for St. Joseph Central, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Hannan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
St. Joseph Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hannan also has no future games currently scheduled.
