Torres has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Marquez Gladiators at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Torres scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They secured a 48-43 W over Elizabeth.
Allen Hernandez and Oscar Gonzalez were among the main playmakers for Torres as the former scored 13 points and the latter scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Fierro, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, even though Sotomayor scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, Marquez still came out on top. Marquez managed a 63-59 win over the Wolves. The win made it back-to-back wins for Marquez.
Torres' win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Marquez, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
Torres was dealt a bruising 82-28 loss at the hands of the Gladiators in their previous meeting last Monday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Marquez's Lamont White Jr, who scored 28 points along with seven assists and three steals.
