The Milby Buffs pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-60 to Austin. Milby has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Milby had strong showings from Kobe Brown, who scored 12 points along with six assists and two steals, and Daniel Cantu, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cantu has scored all season. Darius Owens was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Milby has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season. As for Austin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-14.
Milby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Austin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waltrip at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
