Keswick Christian has gone a perfect 4-0 against Grace Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Keswick Christian Crusaders will head out to square off against the Grace Christian Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Keswick Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Oasis Christian on Friday as Keswick Christian made off with a 22-5 win. With that victory, the Crusaders brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Keswick Christian got a massive performance out of Braxten Sayler, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Landon Wilson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Keswick Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian won against Zephyrhills Christian Academy on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Grace Christian never let Hernando Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.
Braden Johns was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Benjamin Fanelli and Kyler Rickenbach did most of the damage at the plate: Fanelli scored two runs and stole two bases, while Rickenbach scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Fanelli is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Cash Newton, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Keswick Christian's record is now 4-2. As for Grace Christian, their record is now 2-0.
Keswick Christian took their victory against Grace Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Keswick Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
