The Parma Panthers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past Sugar-Salem with points to spare, taking the game 65-48. This was payback for Parma, who suffered a 43-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Sugar-Salem lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tasha Larsen, who scored ten points. The match was Larsen's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Dougherty, who scored nine points.
Parma's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Sugar-Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Parma will head out on the road to face off against Homedale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Homedale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. Sugar-Salem will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Layton Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
