The Hale County Wildcats and the Fort Payne Wildcats will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Aliceville scored an imposing 69 points on Tuesday, Hale County still came out on top. Hale County enjoyed a cozy 88-69 win over Aliceville. Given Hale County's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Aliceville is ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Fort Payne put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 54-43 win over South Atlanta.
Hale County's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Fort Payne, their victory bumped their record up to 15-0.
