The Omaha Central Eagles put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Lincoln as Omaha Central made off with a 59-37 victory. The result was nothing new for Omaha Central, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Inia Jones was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The matchup was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Noelle Tcheuhchoua was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Aubrey Sandbothe, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Lexie Pearce, who scored ten points.
Omaha Central's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Omaha Central will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Millard South at 1:45 p.m. on December 29th. Millard South is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Lincoln will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bellevue West at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
