Pleasanton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Devine Warhorses on Friday. Pleasanton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 942nd, while Devine is ranked 391st).
Last Friday, Pleasanton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-45 to Carrizo Springs.
Meanwhile, Devine's and Carrizo Springs' contest on Tuesday was close at halftime, but Devine turned on the heat in the second half with 37 points. Devine breezed by Carrizo Springs on the road to the tune of 57-30. Winning may never get old, but Devine sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Pleasanton now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Devine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
Pleasanton came up short against Devine in their previous meeting back in January, falling 38-27. Can Pleasanton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
