 Meanwhile, Ransom Everglades didn't have quite enough to beat Gulliver Prep on Wednesday and fell  4-2. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ransom Everglades in their matchups with Gulliver Prep: they've now lost six in a row.
 The  victory  got Riviera Prep back to even at 7-7. As for Ransom Everglades, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
 Riviera Prep was able to grind out a solid  win over Ransom Everglades in their previous meeting  back in March, winning  4-1. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was  Ransom Everglades'  Thomas Maxwell, who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched.
