The Scituate Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Cranston East Thunderbolts at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Scituate focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday.
Scituate's recent rough patch got a bit rougher after their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Blackstone Valley Prep 67-36. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Scituate in their matchups with Blackstone Valley Prep: they've now lost four in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ryan Larsh, who scored 12 points. Antonio DeJesus was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Cranston East came up short against Cumberland on Thursday and fell 53-44. Cranston East has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Scituate bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cranston East, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
