Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Frankton Eagles walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 59-19 victory over the Bulldogs on the road. Frankton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.
Frankton was led to victory by Emma Sperry and Amaya Collins. Sperry dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, while Collins dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Collins has scored at least a third of Frankton's points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Hoagland, who scored six points along with two steals.
Frankton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Centerville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.
Frankton will square off against the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Hamilton Heights sitting on ten straight wins and the Eagles on four. Centerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
