The Washington Tech Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 102-77 to Roosevelt, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Roosevelt found their leader in underclassman Calvin Peterson, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 1 assists. The match was Peterson's third in a row with at least ten points. Kieran Quinlan was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Washington Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Roosevelt, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Washington Tech will be home for the holidays to greet Twin Cities Academy/Great River on Wednesday. As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to face off against Washburn at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Washburn knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Roosevelt likes a good challenge.
