The Oak Hill Golden Eagles will take on the Blackford Bruins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oak Hill has five straight wins, Blackford has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Oak Hill's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Elwood as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Emmett Dorothy looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Matthew O'Banion was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Lawson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Oak Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Blackford came up short against Madison-Grant on Tuesday, falling 13-5.
Clayton Heflin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Trenton Norton, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Blackford's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Oak Hill, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Oak Hill has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Blackford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
