On Thursday, Maryvale Prep ended up a good deal behind NFL Yet Academy and lost 65-51.
NFL Yet Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was ABEL RUIZ, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was EUDY LARA-CASTILLO, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Maryvale Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for NFL Yet Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13.
Maryvale Prep will head out on the road to face off against Antelope at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Antelope will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. NFL Yet Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Trivium Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Trivium Prep is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
