The Bradford Prep Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Community School of Davidson, falling 72-20. Bradford Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-7.
Despite the loss, Bradford Prep saw an underclassman step up: Raquel Feliciano scored nine points. Feliciano is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight.
Tyler Baughan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Community School of Davidson, scoring 25 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Baughan is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Molly Feighery, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Bradford Prep has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Community School of Davidson, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradford Prep will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Charter presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bears in North Carolina (the Eagles are ranked 156th, while the Bears are ranked 478th). As for Community School of Davidson, they will head out on the road to face off against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ the King is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
