Colton Swenson and Carter Thompson made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Swenson tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Thompson pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Swenson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Thompson went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Thompson has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trey Booz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Davenport, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
The win made it two in a row for High Point Baptist Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Coventry Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
