The Forest Hills Rangers will face off against the Central Cambria Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Central Cambria will be up against a hot Forest Hills squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Forest Hills' pitchers stepped up to hand Bedford a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday.
Taylor Snyder was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Gdula, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Forest Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bedford only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, Central Cambria had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Bishop Carroll as Central Cambria made off with a 17-0 win. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Rowyn Ruddek made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other pitching news, Aubrey Ruddek looked comfortable as she scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Katie George, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Camryn Matlin was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Forest Hills pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Central Cambria, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Everything went Forest Hills' way against Central Cambria in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Forest Hills made off with a 6-0 win. Will Forest Hills repeat their success, or does Central Cambria has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
