McPherson entered their tilt with Girard on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Saturday.

McPherson easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-9.

McPherson's victory bumped their record up to 20-4-2. As for Girard, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 24-11.

Coming up, McPherson will face off against El Dorado on Tuesday. As for Girard, they will take on Baxter Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
