Bellefontaine had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 4-8 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Urbana Hillclimbers by a score of 12-8. The Chieftains' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Spencer Stolly made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has become a key player for Bellefontaine: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-7 otherwise. Stolly was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season.
