Ricardo Tamayo of Avalon ran for the longest rushing play in Coastal (8 Man) this season against Pacific Lutheran last week. Tamayo ran for 65 yards on the play and finished with 218 on the day as his team beat the Stingrays.
Avalon extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Pacific Lutheran, 82-28. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Avalon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jose Cervantes has thrown for 289 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Juan Carlos Murillo has 11 catches for 189 yards. Cervantes also leads the league in rushing with 944 yards.
Cervantes of the the Lancers is only 56 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
Avalon led Coastal (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 82 points on Gene Salas' team. Cervantes threw for 48 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 61 yards and caught two passes for 16 yards in the win.
