West Stanly had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt West Brunswick on Tuesday. The Colts put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 15-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won ten contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

West Stanly pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for West Brunswick, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Stanly will be taking part in a tournament against Legion Collegiate Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Brunswick, they will take on Cherryville in a tournament on Wednesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ironmen have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
