The Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles will take on the Byers Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dayspring Christian Academy has seven straight wins, Byers has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Dayspring Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against SkyView Academy as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Logan Vaniddekinge was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josiah Rodriguez, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gage Davis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Dayspring Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as SkyView Academy only posted an OBP of .158.
Meanwhile, Byers lost 15-7 to Peyton on Thursday.
Byers saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Earl, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Gabe Price was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Dayspring Christian Academy's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Byers, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Dayspring Christian Academy beat Byers 6-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
