The Richland Rams entered their tilt with the Portage Mustangs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Richland came out on top against Portage by a score of 55-48 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Richland also won the last time the pair played on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Portage still got an impressive performance from Trae Kargo, who scored 24 points. The match was Kargo's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bode Layo, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Richland has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Portage, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Richland will be playing in front of their home fans against Bald Eagle Area at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Portage and Northern Cambria will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Northern Cambria will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
