Ashley Ridge can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Stall 70-0 on the road. Given Ashley Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Stall is ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashley Ridge found their leader in underclassman Trevor Kalisz, who threw for 251 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Jeffery Ruffin was in the mix too, providing Ashley Ridge with two touchdowns.
Sumter fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down Conway 43-29 on Friday.
John Peeples got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 198 yards and five touchdowns. Peeples hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games.
Ashley Ridge's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Sumter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
