The Rock Creek Academy Lions will be playing at home against the South Central Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Rock Creek Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Rock Creek Academy came up short against Providence and fell 62-51. Rock Creek Academy has struggled against Providence recently, as their match on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Nevaeh McWilliams, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Chloe Carter, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, South Central's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They strolled past New Washington with points to spare, taking the game 73-54. The win was just what South Central needed coming off of a 74-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Rock Creek Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for South Central, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
Rock Creek Academy beat South Central 53-43 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Will Rock Creek Academy repeat their success, or does South Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
