Fishers (Ind.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 27-14 win over
Anderson (Ind.).
Fishers scored 14 points in the first quarter. FHS scored on a
Harvey Allen touchdown run and a
Ben Pritchett touchdown pass to
J-Shun Harris.
Fishers was up 21-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Allen touchdown run in the first quarter.
FHS expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. Fishers scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by
Brad Burton to Harris.
Burton was the top performer for FHS. He threw two touchdowns. He has now scored two touchdowns on the season.
Fishers had given up an average of 16.2 points prior to the contest.
The victory was a step in the right direction for FHS, which was coming off a 31-0 defeat at the hands of Brownsburg in its previous game. The loss comes after Anderson defeated Kokomo 41-33 last week. The loss snapped the Indians' 2-game winning streak.
