The South Delta Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Simmons Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. South Delta has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,033 points over their last 16 games.
A well-balanced attack led South Delta over Leland in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. South Delta strolled past Leland with points to spare, taking the game 58-39. That's two games straight that South Delta has won by exactly 19 points.
Jamichael Green was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarion Sanders, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Simmons' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Tallahatchie. Simmons has not had much luck with West Tallahatchie recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
South Delta is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Simmons, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10.
South Delta skirted past Simmons 72-69 when the teams last played on January 5th. Will South Delta repeat their success, or does Simmons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
