Therrell hasn't had much luck against Holy Innocents Episcopal recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Therrell Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears at 8:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Therrell is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 86-72 victory over Washington on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Therrell relied on the efforts of Gordon Davis, who almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine assists, and Morion Mcwhorter, who went 10-for-11 on his way to 20 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Therrell is 6-2 when Davis posts 15 or more points, but 4-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Woolridge, who posted six points and three steals.
Meanwhile, Holy Innocents Episcopal entered their tilt with Therrell on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They claimed a resounding 80-51 victory over the Panthers. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Panthers are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Therrell better keep an eye on Caleb Wilson. He was instrumental in Holy Innocents Episcopal's win, almost dropping a double-double with 26 points and nine boards. The matchup was Wilson's tenth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Devin Hutcherson, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 16 points and four steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Holy Innocents Episcopal was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up six more assists than Therrell's also-impressive total of 13.
Holy Innocents Episcopal pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points over those games. As for Therrell, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Therrell has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Holy Innocents Episcopal struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Therrell was taken down by Holy Innocents Episcopal 80-51 in their previous meeting on Thursday. Can Therrell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
