Sadly, the University School of Milwaukee Wildcats are still looking for their first win of the season after 15 games. They were beaten by Living Word Lutheran 62-12 on Friday. While losing is never fun, University School of Milwaukee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Living Word Lutheran is ranked 68th).
Living Word Lutheran was led to victory by Kaleah Alles and Delaney Winkelmann. Alles scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Winkelmann scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Winkelmann is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Luedtke, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
University School of Milwaukee dropped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Living Word Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 21-1.
University School of Milwaukee won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Heritage Christian at 2:00 p.m. on February 10th. As for Living Word Lutheran, they will head out on the road to square off against Lake Country Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Living Word Lutheran has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,041 points over their last 16 contests.
